Baggage
Carry-on
For each class of travel, different cabin baggage limits apply. Each bag in the economy and premium economy classes is limited to a weight of 7 kg. Business class passengers are permitted one item of hand luggage up to 10 kg.
Checked
The amount of checked baggage is also based on the class of travel, the location, and frequent flyer status. These are the allowances:
- Economy – one bag at 20kg
- Premium Economy – 1 piece at 25kg (Destinations in the Americas allow 2 pieces at 25 kg each)
- Business – 1 bag at 30kg
- Any extra weight for a single box cannot be above 32kg.
Bulky Items
Extra baggage fees apply to any item that exceeds the free baggage limit. This includes animals, musical instruments, and recreational goods. Consult your Flight Centre Travel Expert for more information on the policies for bulky baggage for the many different kinds of accepted products. Depending on where you’re going, different weights and fees apply.
Infant Baggage
Multiple items up to a weight of 10kg may be checked in for infants under two who do not take a seat. Infants are permitted on routes to the Americas in one piece with the same weight restrictions as adults, depending on the class of flight. A foldable stroller and a small bag of food and diapers are permitted in the cabin. Only if a seat has been purchased for the child is an approved car seat permitted in the cabin.
