Air Canada Carry On

Your carry-on luggage can only be 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm in dimension. Although there isn’t a set weight restriction, you must be able to put the item in the upper compartment yourself.

The second piece has a size restriction of 16x33x43cm.      

Checked Bag

Air Canada’s normal checked baggage has a weight limit of 23 kg (50 lbs) before oversize baggage charges apply. More than 32 kg (70 lbs) in weight or heavier bags will not be allowed.

Air Canada only allows checked bags with linear dimensions of 158 centimeters (62 inches).

Starting 24 hours before your scheduled departure time, you can check in online for your Air Canada (AC) flight to get a mobile boarding pass on your phone or a printable boarding pass. You may select this choice if

• Your first trip is on Air Canada, and you have an electronic ticket.
  • Using your confirmation number, e-ticket number, or frequent flyer number, you can identify your reservation.
  • You are not a passenger who needs extra assistance.
  • You can check in up to nine people at once if your reservation is for a group.
• Mobile check-in

You may use this option 24 hours prior to departure time  if:

• Your first trip is on Air Canada, and you have an electronic ticket.
• Using your confirmation number, e-ticket number, or frequent flyer number, you can identify your reservation.
• You are not a passenger who needs extra assistance.
• You can check in up to nine people at once if your reservation is for a group.
• Your departure airport accept the mobile boarding pass.
• You don’t have an infant with you on the trip

• Self-service kiosk check-in at the airport

 From 45 minutes to 12 hours prior to the departure time, you can check in for your Air Canada (AC) flight at the airport kiosk to obtain a printed boarding pass.

• Ticket counter check-in at the airport

From 30 minutes to 4 hours prior to the departure time, you can check in for your Air Canada (AC) flight at the airport ticket counter and obtain a printed boarding pass.
